Sophia was admitted as a solicitor in 2023 after training at a top 100 City firm, where she developed a strong foundation in Litigation. She has experience advising both individual and company clients on a wide range of matters, including contractual disputes; data protection issues; professional negligence; and commercial and residential landlord/tenant disputes regarding service charges and rent arrears.

With a previous career as a Public Relations specialist, Sophia has a specific interest in Media Law and reputation management, particularly matters concerning privacy and defamation. Recently completing a Master of Laws (LLM) in Media Law in these areas, further deepening her knowledge post-qualification, her combined PR background and legal knowledge position her uniquely to provide advice in matters where a client’s reputation is at risk of being compromised.

She approaches problem-solving for clients in a practical, common-sense way. Believing Litigation is not about “fighting” until the end but rather about achieving the best possible outcome for the client, Sophia prides herself on helping clients achieve such outcomes via successful negotiations and reaching settlement before taking further legal action; thus eliminating the need for court proceedings. Where a dispute cannot be resolved this way, she takes a collaborative approach with the other party throughout proceedings to reach an effective resolution, always keeping the client’s best interests at the forefront.

Sophia will often be found enjoying quality time with her partner and son, taking long walks around food or flower markets, be it the Wanstead Farmers’ Market, Columbia Road Flower Market or Victoria Park Sunday Market. As often as they can, they plan next trips to Italy, Greece or Cyprus to catch up with family and friends over good food and good wine. In her free time, Sophia enjoys taking dance classes; producing music; hunting for vinyl records to add to her collection; and attending live performances by favourite DJs and artists. Also a big fan of art, visiting galleries and adding to her (modest) collection of artworks is a must – Nelly Duff on Columbia Road, Electric Gallery in South Woodford and Images in Frames in Wanstead are particular favourites.
