Zara Abbas

Following LLB Law with Politics studies at the University of Essex, Zara went on to complete the LPC with Master’s course at the University of Law. Before joining Barretts as a Family Paralegal, Zara worked as a Paralegal in the banking and finance sector obtaining experience in the corporate world before moving into the Family sector.

Launching her career at Barretts as a Family Paralegal consisted of preparing the foundations and initial stages of matters. Zara has since gained extensive experience supporting Partners and Solicitors in the Family department, and this is her chosen area of practice since qualification. This exposure has empowered her to develop specific expertise in financial proceedings and divorce cases. Zara travels to courts across London and the home counties as a passionate advocate for supporting clients in hearing proceedings and delivering sympathetic service.

Outside of work, Zara likes to spend her time with her family and friends, travelling, reading, and pushing herself at the gym and run clubs.
